I am very happy that the RSVP cut off was yesterday!!! But I am NOT happy that I didn't receive 4 RSVP's. Even if you aren't coming, you can still RSVP NO!!!! What really pissed me off was that 2 of the ones I didn't get are for people my mother told me are coming, AND BRINGING ALL OF THEIR KIDS. THAT'S 6 EXTRA PEOPLE. HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO REPORT THEM TO THE VENUE WHEN I DON'T EVEN HAVE CONFIRMATION THAT YOU ARE COMING???

sheeeeiiiit, boo, for realz?
Ok, so for MONTHS nothing was occurring for me on the job front. I was offered a position with ADP a while ago. The pay was a little less than what I wanted, which was ok, but:
A. It was in a call center. After spending a year and a half in a call center when I first started at 5/3, I SWORE to myself I would never work in one again.
B. I wouldn't have been able to take any vacation between November and February. Most of Rick's family lives in Chicago, and his parents moving there soon, I figure we may want to see them over the holidays, so this would not work. Plus, the majority of my fam is in Georgia, and I like to spend Thanksgiving with them.
So, I'm pretty much shocked that I have 4 interviews scheduled for this week, and just got called about a supervisor's position with a law firm downtown, because the recruiter saw my resume on Monster. They will pay me what I want, I just need to see what the position and other benefits entail.
Crazy...........

So, I think Rick and I have a ghost. A ghost who likes to flip the batteries in our remote controls and in my wireless mouse. And Potus likes to stare at the wall a-la the blair witch project. Also, our DVRhas decided that it really wants to watch "Step it up & dance" on bravo, because it decided to start recoring the series all on it's own. I dunno. Maybe that was the ghost too.

Free Rice!!!
I don't know if anybody else has heard of www.freerice.com, but it is a web site with a good cause. the site contains a word game where the site gives you a word, and you have to pick the word's meaning. for every word you get right, the site's advertisers donate 20 grains of rice to a needy country. it's super fun, and you don't feel quite so bad for playing a game on the computer all day.
